Join us for BC TEAL’s 51st Annual Conference at Langara College in beautiful Vancouver, BC from April 11 to 13, 2019. We’ll begin with the Pre-Conference Institute on Thursday, followed by two event-packed regular conference days on Friday and Saturday. Registration details at bcteal.org.

Must-have Smartphone Apps for the Tech-resistant Teacher

Resistance is the biggest obstacle to technology use in the classroom. Reasons may vary from lack of tech-savviness to negative perceptions. However, the reality is even most tech-resistant teachers have smartphones due to their multi-functionality. Why deny this same usefulness in the classroom? Four apps will be explored.

June Choi has spent over 15 years teaching in the TESOL field. Her last 9 years have been at the LINC school in the Richmond School District. She completed her MA TESOL degree at Trinity Western University (TWU) in June 2018.
