Engaging Students Through a Variety of Formative Assessment Tools

An EAP instructor will share practical strategies to facilitate formative assessment while encouraging student engagement. Three challenges will be addressed (time constraints, students not understanding the feedback, and students' skills not improving) offering solutions and alternative forms of feedback, including: written formative feedback, creating and using rubrics, and technology-mediated feedback.
